This November 15, Afro-Caribbean band Kalbass Kreyol is hosting at Ashkenaz for the third year a Haitian Cultural Extravaganza to celebrate Vertieres Day; the last victorious battle against Napoleon's army that ended slavery in Haiti and on surrounding islands in the Caribbean.

This event will benefit cyclone victims in Gonaives, Haiti.
