Representing all types of music 2

Lala - January 9 2007, 12:09 PM

Actually there all types of tempos/rhythms in Kompa.

So, it would be possible to find a down tempo/not so upbeat Kompa song and blend it with RnB if one had to.
I always thought Djs were innovators and not players of records/cds. Perhaps, that is my issue.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I've been spoiled with DJs who have made it a point to mix, i.e. blend music.

Yes, they do work hard, and have been working for the last 10 years at least! Further, they are always in demand where I am from. In fact, they are booked months in advance.

It may be exhausting but their reputation speak volumes, unlike many I have come across in Atlanta.

Obviously, this is not directed at you, I am just curious.

I am sick and tired of people claiming they are throwing flag parties/caribbean/international parties, and seem to ONLY represent 2 islands' music at most. Do not let me get started on the lack of African music...
