THE FILM
The film deals with the sociopolitical lives of immigrants from third world countries settling in big cities like New York City. Two different sociopolitical settings shape the behaviors of these characters. Conflicts arise from sociopolitical events of Coup D'etat, exile, illegal immigration, political asylum and the correlation of victimizers and victims in a foreign land. This work of fiction mirrors the real life story of this Haitian college student in Brooklyn who after 12 years she left Haiti, meets her rapist who was a high rank officer in a recently overthrown Haitian government. From Guilt to paranoia, the past left no room to escape the drama they've once live in their native land.
