Fet Maitresse - Drums -Frisner Augustin

Event Details

This party is being held in conjunction with Vodou Dance and Drum workshops conducted for a week prior to the fet. As in Haiti, the Vodou fet is a serious spiritual and magical event.

Rhythms will once again be provided by Master Drummer Frisner Augustin and members of La Troupe Makandal .

Houngan, Mambo and Vodouisiant from New York City, Boston and Florida will be present to help with singing, dancing and ceremonial details. As always, this party is a public event, and all Vodouisiant are invited to attend. If you are Vodou clergy and would like to visit, I am always happy to help where I can with transportation or lodging issues. Just contact me. Dee
