The United Haitian Artists organization led by Carole Demesmin announced last week that the first edition of Zepi Mayi Awards ceremony will take place Sunday Nov. 11, in Miami.

The event will be hosted by Paula Pean, Daniel Marcelin, and Carl Fombrun.

Figures on the Haitian traditional music scene will participate at this one of the kind ceremony.

The awards will also celebrate the magnificent diversity of Haiti's musical heritage from the musical traditions of konpa to jazz, and traditional Haitian styles.

The UHA Zepi Mayi Awards goal is to attract high quality presentations from Haitian artists across the U.S. to showcase their undisputable talent that seems to fade away with lack of exposure.

Maryse Coulange, Yannick Coupet, Kiki Wainwright, Essud Fungcap, Charles Dessalines, Viviane Gauthier are among more than 50 talented artists to partake in the event.
