Dear All,
I am writing this because I am tired and frustrated.

I hope to get some help immediately. Its been over three months since I have been trying to get my passport, and I feel like I am getting the run around.

I sent in a check with my
passport application and the
check was cashed on the 5th of December.

First, I received a letter requesting for my original birth certificate, which
they already have. When I called the 877-487-2778 to tell them, and after being on hold for over an hour, I was informed they needed my birth certificate to be
translated, since its wriiten in French.

Therefore, I asked them to send back my birth certificate to have it translated.

I called After two weeks to find out why I have not received anything.

Once again I was on hold for a while.

When I spoke to a guy, he said that I needed to
send them a letter requesting them to return the birth certificate to me. I sent the letter the very next day!

When I called two weeks later I was told they
never received the letter.

I wrote another letter and sent it express.

I got a call from someone at the passport agency.

I was asked for my name, birth date and social.

The lady I spoke to said they couldn't pull up my information(My biggest mistake I did not
get their names).

After I verified who I was, she said that she found it and the letter was all they needed from me.
I kept calling after that about every other day to check on the status of my passport.

Every time I called, it would say "they are experiencing high call
volume, to press 3 if you want to check the status on your passport".

Once, I pressed "3" it would say the same speech about the high call volume, it then says
"Thank you for calling national passport information center good bye".

On the prompt, online, and on the letters, it states that they are open from 7am to
Midnight.

It did not matter at what time I called I got the same response every time. I went on the website and emailed them. I got a message, which I
still have stating what they needed from me is my original birth certificate.

When I went to the clerk of court to file for the passport, they made sure I had every document, which were all original.

They checked each document, and made me swear everything was
correct.

It has been approximately four months and I
am still without my passport.

I have no original
document to identify me, besides my social, they have
my green card, original birth certificate, and my parent's original citizenship certificate.

I'd like to
know what I can do in this case. I am thinking of getting a lawyer, the news involved, otherwise I'll never get a response from them people.

Can someone call that number and tell me if there is not something wrong with the phone and customer service?

Even the
automated message sounds cheesy when you call I was told they hired people, and they are working over time. I am wondering if they have people working there
at all. Please help!
