we do not need him in Haiti, never he is negatif influence on the Haiti society.
Do not take me wrong; he could have been a great president, but he promoted too much violence in the country.
This is the worst kind that I've seen in the history of Haiti.
He is nothing but a fool that should stay away for ever

I believe that Jean Bertrand Aristide should definitely return to Haiti.
Upon his return, there should be an official delegation awaiting him at the airport with a shovel and a pitch fork (pel ak pikwa) to hand to him and have him work the field of l'Artibonite as a paysan.
His presence would be of a decent use for the country.
Once his job is done, ship him back to South Africa.

Mwen kont li sou tout fom pou Aristid tounen Ayiti.Mwen kont li tou le moun ap desan Duvalier pou Aristid.
Lite direkte sante sou Prezidan Estime, minis santa ak travay sou Magloire.
Ki souvni Aristid kite pou Ayiti?Divizyon, pelebrun, chime, kidnape elatrye.Tout saki te boy li fe yo aveg, sa yo ki te aveg li fe yo fou pliske yo rive detwi menm sakap itil yo tankou:lekol, mache ak biro piblik.
Li fe rout kay li li kite det milyon dola pou leta peye La Fanmi se Lavi, li fe yon inivesite se prive li te ye.Li tap preche kont enperyalis, li marye ak yon fanm ki se pitit tonton Sam.Li te rive sou pouvwa ak 3 mil dola ayisyen sou kane l, li pati ak 900milyon
dola ameriken plis yon vale likid an bye 100 dola ki te lakay li. Intenasyonalman yo rekonet ke Aristid Vole 350 milyon dola ameriken pou ayiti pandan 15 lanne sou pouvwa ak akolit li yo.
Duvalier vole 5. 7milyon dola ameri
Ayisyen pat trop enterese al viv nan peyi etranje.
Olye neg yo amelyore se kraze yo kraze.Nou pa bezwen ban regresis sa yo.

Amen brother,
This is exactly what I thought when Aristide decided to jump into politics.
A lot of Haitians voted with their hearts not with their heads.
We need someone who not only is highled educated but someone who understands the weaknesses of our system of governance and who can come up with ways to strenghten and decentralize the Haitian state.
This will take good planning, implementation and monitoring.
I hope one day good Haitian politicians will come and save this beautiful land from the archaic system we have now.

It has, and still is, amazing to me that most haitians do not understant, or perhaps do not care to know, that Aristide is not qualifield to be the leader of a country.
He was just a priest who was helping to feed the poor and gave them words of hope to cope with their current socio-economic and political conditions.
Aristide may have had good intntions in the very beginning of his ascension to political power but along the way he was corrupted by the very force he wanted to subdue.
Aristide lacks the scholastic foundations required and necessary to lead a nation.
He knows next to nothing in regards to Haitian Law and the country's Constitution.
We need fresh young new blood, with perhaps unorthodox ideas to help our country rebound form its malignant slumber.

Thanks for your comments.
I agree that the masses should have the right to elect their leader and twice they have done so when it comes to Mr Aristide.
However, our people, because of illiterary and poverty, have been used and abused by politicians they believed in. Aristide got them angry and turned them agaisnt the middle and upper class of the country.
He hired them as "chimeres" to silence his opponents and even encourage them to "necklace" those who were against his movement.
Is this democracy?
You referred to Hugo Chavez, a populist and mass lover who changed his country's constitution so he could stay in power for as long as he wanted.
Take a closer look; Aristide wanted to spend more time in power to compensate for the time he was out. If he had his way, he would have become another Chavez.
Giving money to the poor to build a political base doesn't help.
Now, Haiti because of its fragile institutions and misfortunes need to have a new group of leaders: Competent, driven, honest and dedicated people who don't just talk the talk. Aristide being a polarizing figure and a lousy politician can create instability in the country and trigger the disapproval of the international community which pretty much is feeding us at this point.

DEMOCRACY : http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/dem...
Government by the people; especially : rule of the mass/majority
A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.
Mr. Jean-Bertran Aristide won about 60% at each Haitian election.
Yet you said:
"He still have a naive illiterate mass that believe in him and may use their thrust to get back into politics and destabilize the country."
By your own saying, Mr. Aristide is a very popular leader.
Are you a democrat?
Do you think it would be better to have a Hugo Chavez or Fidel Castro in Haiti too?
If you do not want the mass to elect their own president of their choice, be careful: you may get what you wish for.

Absolutely not; this is the worst thing that could happen at this point.
Aristide was a charismatic but divisive leader.
All he did was set the masses against the middle and bourgeois class of the country.
His goverment was plagued with corruption, drug trafficking, and incompetent people.
He intimidated Port-au-Prince with his chimeres and gangs and failed to move the country foreward.
He still have a naive illiterate mass that believe in him and may use their thrust to get back into politics and destabilize the country.
We don't need that now and should postpone his home coming to 20 or 25 years from now. Hopefully, Haiti, by then, will have a stronger democracy and a better economy.
