The Drum and the Seed--a tale told in drumming, dance, and art--sets one down in Lespwa (Hope), a Haitian village suffering from drought. Ti Zwazo, a peasant child, embarks on a journey for the magic seeds that will make her garden grow again. Along the way she meets three nature spirits who guide her to the underworld--and the Lord and Lady of Death. Find out what Ti Zwazo learns from them about traditional values, community, and hope.
