"True Forgiveness" Overview
A Short Christian Growth Film for Haiti (Sequel to True Security)

Running Time: 45 Minutes (Max 60 Minutes)

Goal: To present the concept that the return of Jesus Christ is eminent. It will come by surprise. Each person has the personal responsibility to prepare themselves for the second coming of Jesus Christ, and the following white throne judgment. Present it through a story which all Haitians can identify with and find Jesus through. Show that material things are not important when one has Jesus. Emphasis is put on the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus rather than combating other religions. Through all that is done, we must continually strive for scriptural accuracy.

Mathew 24:43-44 NIV But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 NIV Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

Synopsys: The story of Jose continues as it is interconnected between the story of the thief, Fritznel, who has accepted Jesus at the end of the preceding film, True Security.

Story Line:

Act 1:

Goal: Introduce the characters, man, wife, and their valuable items. Introduces how they got all the good things; his father's inheritance, which is finished being spent.

Location: Port-au-Prince

What Happens: Man is paranoid with security. Installs security alarm, perhaps gets a dog, etc. Yard guy (Dodo or Sego) is a cocky country-bumpkin who wears a straw hat and says how he'll keep things safe. (Comic Relief Character) Man tries to protect himself with works.

Act 2:

Goal: Start to show that the wife is a Christian, and the man is not.

Location:

What Happens: Family travels from Port-au-Prince in their nice 4-wheel drive vehicle to a somewhat remote place in Haiti. Discussion of music, replace Kompa Kreole with church music or preaching by wife's request. If it's preaching, it could be something about the time being short, and people needing to make a decision for Christ.

Act 3:

Goal: Evangelize the husband.

Goal: To give the man another chance to accept Jesus, and this time takes his chance. He prays to accept the forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ.
