Get Fit For Haiti

We would love your assistance in raising funds for Danita's Children-Hope for Children's Center in Haiti. Danita's Children is a non profit organization with the mission of love, rescue and care for orphaned children, meeting their needs spiritually, physically, academically and emotionally, preparing them for a brighter future.

Before the earthquake there were 490,000 orphan children in Haiti. More than 300,000 were living in slavery. 1 out 7 children in Haiti dies before the age of 5 mostly of preventive or curable diseases such as pneumonia and other ailments. Nearly half of the population of Haiti are children under the age of 18. Over 17,000 children are infected with HIV/AIDS. This is just part of the tragic stastics and if we just think for a movement that Haiti is only 750 miles away from us. At the present time it is uncertain the number of the new orphans but what we know is the enormous need for help and the risk if nothing is done.

Action must be taken. Therefore I am organizing "Get Fit for Haiti." This event is meant to raise awareness and funding for orphan children being cared for by Danita's organization.

My goal is to bring the community together for this cause and the community benefiting from various fitness-oriented activities and education.

"Get Fit for Haiti" consist of four hours of various fitness-oriented activities at the L.A. Fitness in Miami Gardens on Sunday May 23rd, 2010 from 12:00pm to 3:30pm .Donations will be accepted through this website www.firstgiving.com/karladeanda and at the venue on May 23rd.

Donation ask: Minimum 10 dollars por person.
