I am writing you on behalf of Mr. Yves Joseph, manager and co-founder of Tabou Combo, the band. Mr. Joseph is requesting that you and your company please participate by placing a journal ad and purchasing a table for the event. We look forward to your participation.

Tabou Combo in conjunction with Total Ambiance Productions(TAP) invite you to be part of an amazing event taking place on Saturday December 20th, 2008 at the prestigious Hilton Hotel in Melville, NY. Tabou Combo is an internationally renowned Haitian and World music band whose "infectious, indigenous rhythms have been rocking audiences from Japan to Panama, Paris to Miami for four decades. They are the original ambassadors of Haitian Music having played almost every major world festival, taking Kompa music where Celia Cruz took Salsa" as stated by the Miami Herald. In an effort to honor Tabou Combo, the 2008 year has been marked with a variety of concerts and parties throughout the US, the Caribbean and Europe held by various promoters and institutions. Thus we thought it only fitting to end the year on the highest note possible: A 40th Anniversary Roast Honoring the Ambassadors of Kompa: Tabou Combo.

This event will be a formal affair held at one of the premier venues in New York. It will offer guests an opportunity to hear some of the band's greatest hits performed by other great musical talents. Friends, family and industry colleagues will share stories and memories of the band, and all in attendance will have a great time with a piece de resistance: performance by Tabou members, old and present.

To commemorate this once in a lifetime event, we are putting together a souvenir book "40 Years and Counting", this book will be given to all guests in attendance, and will contain letters, stories and images of various figures including, friends, family, tabou fans, business individuals, elected officials, and other musical moguls. Tabou has had the pleasure through the years to share the stage with Santana, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente and many others. Thus, we invite you and your business to be included on this piece of history.

Over 500 individuals making up some of the metro areas most affluent will participate. Confirmed guests thus far include, state senators, congressional representatives, musical icons, business professionals and some of the most prominent community stakeholders in New York. Other participating states include: New Jersey, DC, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida and Massachusetts.
