To The Members of The Community:

Upon The establishment of Medgar Evers College in the 1970's, The Haitian American Students Association was established 25yrs ago at CUNY Medgar Evers College to bring awareness and empowerment to the African and Haitian culture within the college, and in the community at large. The Haitian American Students Association at Medgar Evers College with under new leadership, at Medgar Evers College Club will give the club new life, and certainly remember the life of Medgar Wiley Evers. The new leadership team of The Haitian American Students Association plans to pursue to achieve a goal to work with all faculty, staff and students, including community leaders and groups under the leadership of President Edison O. Jackson of Medgar Evers College. The President of the Haitian American Student Association is Edwidge Moise. The Vice President the Haitian American Student Association is Buckley T. Michel. The new Secretary of the Medgar Evers College Haitian American Students Association is Gaelle. The Public Relations person for The Haitian American Students is Carl Henry. The Treasurer of The Haitian Club is Jean Berquin.

We the new cabinet of the Medgar Evers College Haitian American Students Association would like to take the time out to acknowledge President Edision O. Jackson and welcome all the new and old faculty members, professors and students to Cuny Medgar Evers College. We certainly wish you all the best of success this academic semester. We invite you to join us every Monday & Wednesday from 12:00noon to 1:15Pm in room 2020 in the Bedford Building, with all your ideas to help bring life back to the Haitian American Students Association Club here at Medgar Evers. Let us continue the vision and success of the founder of The Haitian Students Association, which started 25yrs ago at Medgar Evers College, by us working together at Medgar Evers College "Create Success, One Student at a Time". We representing the new leadership concerning the Haitian American Students Association would like to take the time to acknowledge the following individuals or groups at Medgar Evers College: President Edison O. Jackson, Ruddell Deceus, Director of 18mai Committee, Vincent Banray Vice President, of Student Affairs/Student Life and the new Director of Student Life.

We representing the new leadership in regards to the Haitian American Students Association would also take the time out to acknowledge the following outside organizations that help make the Haitian Students Associations a success at Medgar Evers College: The National Haitian Students Alliance and the Management & Staff of Haitixchange.com. The Medgar Evers College Haitian American Students Association & the New York Presbyterian Hospital Community Health Plan Proudly Present The Two Hundreds and fourth commemoration of Haitian Flag Day Conference & Family Entertainment which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in the Amphitheater of Medgar Evers College located at 1650 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn from the hours of 12:00PM to 2:30PM. The keynote speakers will be Darnide Cayo, Co Founder of Artists Village Inc. & The Executive Director of World Vision, theme "Hold Haiti Tight & Don't Let Go". This event will be lead by the President of MEC Haitian American Student Association Edwidge Moise & Buckley T. Michel, the President and Vice President, along with the entire staff and students of The Haitian American Students Association and a host of elected Officials, Incredible DJ and DJ Smoke and special invitation to Tantan along with the NY Presbyterian Community Health Plan Clown. This years Two Hundreds and Fourth commemoration of Haitian Flag Day Conference & Entertainment will be media sponsored by Akolad.com and The New York Presbyterian Hospital Community Health Plan and 18mai Committee for the first time.
