Event Details

Sove Nou is a documentary about the historical struggle of Haiti. The film is narrated by the legendary actor Danny Glover and features interviews by many individuals on the forefront of fighting for Haiti. Those highlighted through interviews include Congressman Kendrick Meek, first Haitian State Representatives respectively Phillip Brutus and Yolly Roberson, Haiti Chief General Counsel Ira Kurzban, renowned musician Wycleff Jean, Haitian actor Jimmy Jean Louis (Tears of the Sun, Phat Girlz) activists Marlien Bastien and Cheryl Little Esq., migrants from 1969-2002 and many others.

This screening is being done in conjunction with The Miami Light Project and The Haitian Heritage Museum. Guests of honor will include actor Jimmy Jean Louis and Ronald Lang (executive producer/writer aEoeAll About The BenjaminaE™saE). The screening will take place at artist Jeffery DreadaE™s Photo Vibe Art Gallery, located in Miami Beach. Wine and hors daE™oeuvres will be served in a casual and social atmosphere
