sound issues we need better locales
Hello all my fellow haitians in atlanta, whether established or relocated from florida or ny to this city. I am excited to see the growth of haitian presence in this city in the 2 and a half yrs since i moved here from orlando.
I support future ventures in our community but I understand it is difficult to organize an event in this city due to the expansive locations of our people here. Spanning from marietta, stone mountain and gwinnett county we are scattered unevenly but i think we can do better in our choice of venues for our events.
The atrium is ok but to me i would like to see a location or locations more comparable to the locales in south florida or ny, I mean this is a pretty popular city and high on the list of places people want to move to and i believe we can treat our HMI performers and more importantly the fans a classy, clean, spacious location to hold our events.
I can recall going to a Hangout bal that was held at a location off 400 near roswell rd. It was very nice and i think Promoters should put more effort into booking these type of places to entertain us in. We are worth it and we want to represent the haitian community here in atlanta positively.
So with this keep up the good work but consider my suggestion as someone who has lived in ny and partied in venues like best western in long island or s.o.b.s in manhattan, and various places in miami as well. I know we can do better and i know that this city has better places to offer us to hold our events in. Let us not limit ourselves and build a community as strong as florida, ny, boston, canada and worldwide.
