About BelTiFi: The BelTiFi "Pretty Young Girl" empowerment committee stands together to promote female empowerment, civic engagement, and leadership in the Haitian community. As a unit, we plan to open up the gateways to professional success and establish beneficial relationships with other young Haitian-American women and enable networking opportunities with prominent Haitian-American professional women. Through using contemporary methods of interaction such as fashion, art, music, and creative workshops, our mission will set a new standard of the traditional Haitian woman. The planning committee, known as the "BelTiFi Beauties," are nine young Haitian-American women who have emerged from strangers to sisters overnight. Coming together from different ages and aspirations, they shared a common goal: to promote empowerment and instill change for young Haitian-American women.
Our mission for "The Secret Garden" Ladies Luncheon is simple: to create a relaxed setting for young Haitian-American woman to take part in an open dialogue about the issues pertaining to their everyday lives and gain insight through networking and experiences of current Haitian/Haitian-American female professionals. This luncheon will also showcase the BelTiFi "Rebuild from the Roots" campaign which encompasses our mission to aid Haiti. The campaign will introduce the importance of the youth's involvement for the relief efforts for Haiti and the methods to begin rebuilding the foundation of our country.
