All monies raised will go directly to support UNICEF’s work in the region. It is a donate what you can event, with a $20 minimum donation to participate in the raffle for items like gift baskets, fine art, museum memberships, tickets to plays, and restaurant gift certificates. Donations are tax deductible. The afternoon will include an opportunity to enjoy great food and beverages, and will feature world music DJing by DJ Nnamdi of KPFK’s Radio Afrodicia, kid-friendly Afro-Cuban dance classes with Monisha Garner of Bashtet Movement Arts Studio, face painting, and a visit from Mrs. Los Angeles 2004. All who wish to support the work of UNICEF in the Caribbean are encouraged to attend. The event is wonderful for families with younger children because the location is a pre-school with an outdoor playground area. To respect the Playgroup neighbors, please do not turn or park along Scenario Lane. Please park along Beverly Glen Boulevard.
